The draft resolution (Reg. No.8079) suggests holding the hearings in June 2011.
The participants of the hearings shall scrutinize the issues connected with destabilization of a family institute such as domestic conflicts, postponement of childbirth, refusal from second/third childbirth, unplanned pregnancy, infertility, etc.
The Committee members stated, "The hearings will draw attention to the problems of low birth rate in the state, high divorce rate, numerous facts of domestic violence, great number of orphaned children, etc."
According to the People´s Deputies, there is a pressing problem connected with a new state policy in the sphere of family relations to be based on the principle "Secured Family Priority of the State Policy."
